VIIE 2023 took place from October 28 to November 1, showcasing numerous cutting-edge products and technologies in eight NIC pivotal sectors: smart factory, smart city, digital media, environmental technology, cybersecurity, semiconductor industry, hydrogen and healthcare.

VIIE 2023 brought together hundreds of leading domestic and international technology enterprises, as well as many ecosystem actors; the participation of prestigious domestic and international businesses such as: SK, Samsung, Google, Meta, Signify, Intel, VISA, Viettel, FPT, THACO, VNPT, Sovico, MoMo, etc., featuring more than 300 exhibit booths.
VNU participated in the exhibition with more than 40 science and technology products from its 7 member/affiliated units, representing VNU’s priority investment technology fields.

Addressing the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that innovation was an inevitable trend and a strategic choice crucial for the country's breakthrough towards power and prosperity. Therefore, the Party and State have always paid attention to innovation and issued many policies and guidelines to direct the development of science and technology - a top national policy, and innovation.
The Government has also been implementing specific action programs to step up the comprehensive development of the innovation ecosystem, create an environment to promote research and development, application of science and technology and technology transfer.
The Government leader expressed his hope that NIC Hoa Lac would create a new innovation space for the country, clearly demonstrate the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, daring to innovate for development, and become a model of Vietnam innovation.
The National Innovation Centre is an agency directly under the Ministry of Planning and Investment. The new facility of NIC boasts almost 20,000-m² floor area in two office buildings and one international conference centre. NIC Hoa Lac aims to serve as a hub for innovation, connecting and enhancing the national innovation and startup ecosystem.
Along with building facilities, NIC has developed a global Vietnamese innovation network with 2,000 members, including Vietnamese experts and intellectuals at home and abroad in 20 countries with eight component networks in Germany, Japan, Australia, South Korea, EU, Taiwan, and the East Coast and the West Coast of the United States.
