VNU IPC 2023 is among the series of activities commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Government's promulgation of the Decree on the establishment of VNU.

VNU Town is invested to become a key urban area in the west of the capital, concentrating scientific and technological knowledge resources; research, knowledge transfer, connected with Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, the entire Hanoi and the Northwest region. VNU was selected as the first higher institution in the country to pilot the model of public-private partnership (PPP).

Speaking at the conference, VNU President Le Quan reviewed the results of public-private cooperation over 1 year from VNU IPC 2022. In addition to the highly practical and meaningful funding sources from domestic and foreign businesses, VNU also proactively diversifies other resources, of which, the first and foremost ones are those coming from cooperation activities with businesses, to serve its goals and mission.

President Le Quan added that from VNU IPC 2022, many ideas and suggestions for cooperation have been put forward, starting from the need to solve development problems, not only for VNU but also for its partners, including localities. VNU's potential in human resources and research capacity also creates cooperation opportunities for Vietnamese businesses.

VNU President Le Quan expressed his hope that businesses and partners would continue to pay attention to cooperation with VNU not only in funding but also in supporting training, creating an internship environment for its students, and transferring research results to help VNU develop new engineering and technology majors associated with business development.

Pro Vice-Chancellor and General Director of RMIT Vietnam Professor Claire Macken stated that the opening of VNU-RMIT Innovation Hub during the VNU Investment Promotion Conference 2023 would connect VNU and RMIT with education and industry partners to conduct joint research and development projects, with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). She hoped that with a synergistic partnership, RMIT and VNU would contribute to Vietnam becoming a key player in the global technology landscape.

VNU IPC 2023 was organized to attract businesses and entrepreneurs, both domestic and international, interested in education, training, science and technology; promote investment in developing a national level university town approaching world-class universities; create opportunities to promote the brands, images, and products of businesses participating in the conference.
