11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
This thesis has theoretical contributions, namely:
Firstly, to systematize the rationale of CSR in general and put these theoretical issues in a new research context. Although CSR has been studied a lot in the world, in Vietnam, research on CSR is still small and unsystematic.
Secondly, build and test a research model that reflects the impact of the objects that hotel businesses need to target on the hotel’s CSR performance result.
This thesis has practical contributions shown in the following aspects:
Firstly, sketch a general picture of the CSR problem of the hotel business in Vietnam. The author has analyzed the current situation of CSR of 4-5 * hotel businesses in the HN-HP-QN area through case studies. Thereby, clarifying the problems and problems that exist in the CSR implementation of these hotels, as well as some of the main reasons for the limitation.
Secondly, build and verify the relationship between the CSR implementation by subjects and the hotel CSR results.
Thirdly, verify the effects of demographic factors as the nature of hotels (Vietnam, Joint Venture or International) and business locations (HN-HP-QN).
12. Practical applicability:
Based on the actual research results, the thesis has focused on giving two main groups of solutions: (1) The group of solutions and recommendations related to strengthening the hotel business management capacity through the management of the hotel business CSR to turn CSR into a business strategy, specifically: it is necessary to consider CSR as the responsibility of the entire system in the business, a prerequisite responsibility of the hotel's Board of Directors and should be integrated into the Vision, Mission and Core Values of businesses, on the basis of ensuring common principles such as unity in direction, commitment to stakeholders, building a separate code of conduct, transparency in implementation and rational use of resources, (2) The group of specific solutions for 4-5 star hotels in Hanoi - Hai Phong and Quang Ninh related to the implementation objects and impacts on CSR. At the same time, the thesis also gives recommendations for the implementation of specific CSR for ownership models, management as well as operating areas with each stakeholder and some recommendations for state management agencies on tourism.
13. Further research directions:
Research on CSR is a topic that attracts a lot of attention not only from researchers but also from business leaders. Studies on this topic will provide additional useful information for stakeholders in promoting the implementation of CSR in Vietnam for a sustainable economy. On the basis of some limitations of the thesis, the author proposes further research directions on this topic as follows:
First of all, future research can be done according to different approaches to CSR such as content access (Economic Responsibility; Legal Compliance Responsibility; Ethical Responsibility and Charitable Responsibility), approach to the subject (CSR of the enterprise as an economic institution; CSR of the enterprise as a social entity - environmental responsibility CSR of the enterprise to the community
In addition, future research needs to expand the scope of research on the type of hotel and space to have better information about the overall population and to use the probability sampling method to better reflect the base of the hotel structure of the whole.
