11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis

Base on the results of thermal fluid’s analysis and geochemistry to determine the geothermal model (heat source, reservoir, conductive channel, thermal fluid characteristic) in Dien Bien depression and details at Uva manifestation;

Identify the thermal fluid mechanism of forming and origin at Uva, Dien Bien depression relating to  neo-tectonic activities of Lai Chau - Dien Bien and Sop Cop - Lang Chanh fault zones;

Propose orientations for production and utilization hot water (dominant sodium bicarbonate) and geothermal energy in the Uva area on the basis of the average deep source temperature at 161oC, resources and flow rate for the purpose of power generation with a capacity of 2÷3MW by using Kanina technology.

12. Practical applicability, if any: The research results are useful in orienting the utilization of thermal fluid, as the basis for implementing the assessment of geothermal energy resources for the purpose of power generation.

13. Further research directions: more detailed research to implement a pilot experiment in an industrial scale before deciding the application of utilization.
