6. Changes in academic process   

During the training process, the Ph.D. student has received Decisions:

The Decision no.03/QĐ-VNH issued on 2 January 2018 signed by the Director of Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development Science, extended his study duration for 12 months.  

 The Decision no.341/QĐ-VNH issued on 28 December 2018 signed by the Director of Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development Science, extended his study duration for 12 months.   

The Decision no.282A/QĐ-VNH dated 30 October 2019 signed by the Director of the Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development Science, changed his study program.     

The Decision no.342/QĐ-VNH dated 31 December 2019 signed by the Director of the Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development Science on the forced withdrawal and returning to his governing agency.  

The Decision no. 274/QĐ-VNH dated 19 November 2020 signed by the Director of the Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development Science on the admission for the Ph.D. student returning to the training institution.

11. Summary of the new findings of the dissertation

 Firstly, the dissertation collected and provided scientific and objective sources which investigated the economy, society, and culture of Hữu Bằng village during the Đổi Mới period (from 1986 to 2018).  

Secondly, the dissertation sheds light on the economic, social, and cultural changes in Hữu Bằng village. In addition, this thesis contributes to identifying the rural transformations in peri-urban areas of Western Hanoi.    

12. Applicability

Research findings will contribute to assisting Hữu Bằng Village’s residents and local authorities gain insight into their homeland. More importantly, the dissertation will be a valuable source for local authorities in planning and managing Thạch Thất district development programs.

The thesis serves as a reliable reference for other researchers interested in studying the changes in peri-urban areas of Hanoi.

13. Further research directions

Ph.D. student continues to pursue the study of Vietnam’s rural changes, mainly focusing on the areas of Hanoi peri-urban and Red River Delta.
