Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL)

The Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL) was founded in 1956 as a non-governmental organization at a meeting in Bangkok of the heads of eight state universities in Southeast Asia.
ASAIHL's purpose is to assist member institutions to strengthen themselves through mutual self-help and to achieve international distinction in teaching, research and public service.
ASAIHL's members include: India (1), Indonesia (34); Iran (1); Malaysia (18); Myanmar (1); Philippines (38); Singapore (2); Sli Lanka (2); Thailand (35); Vietnam (1); Australia (18); Belgium (1); Canada (2); Japan (4); New Zealand (5); Sweden (1); Taiwan (1); United States (7).
VNU’s activities at ASAIHL: attending Governing Body meetings, organizing and attending seminars.
