VNU and Vietcombank cooperate to achieve development goals
On March 31, 2021, in the Head office of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank), VNU and Vietcombank held the signing ceremony of a cooperative agreement for implementing the two sides’ development goals.

Attending the ceremony, on the side of VNU, there was Mr. Nguyen Kim Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of VNU Party Committee, VNU President; Mr. Pham Bao Son – VNU Vice President and leaders of VNU’s functional departments, affiliated units.

On the side of Vietcombank, there was Mr Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Vietcombank Party Committee, Chairman of Vietcombank's Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Member of the Board of Directors; Deputy General Director.

According to the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in the following fields: Financial services and banking; Training and scientific research; Social security and communication; Joint scientific seminars and forums on economic and related issues; Exchanging and implementing international training cooperation programs towards improving the quality of human resources, contributing to the country's socio-economic development.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vietcombank Chair of the Board Nghiem Xuan Thanh said that Vietcombank was the only bank in Vietnam, listed among the world’s 1,000 largest public companies 2020 by Forbes. In recent years, VNU has provided a lot of high-quality human resources in different professions across the country, including banking in general and Vietcombank in particular. With the two sides’ capacities gradually approaching international standards, this signing ceremony has further affirmed the stature and position of both VNU and Vietcombank. Based on the agreement, Vietcombank is expected to be a provider of best quality products and services to VNU.

VNU President Nguyen Kim Son hoped that the implementation of the cooperation between the two organizations would maximize all potentials and strengths of each party in the realization of their development goals, contributing to the national development.
