On July 26, 2022, VNU Vietnam Japan University (VNU-VJU) and Japan International School System and Eco School System (JIS-ESS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation, agreeing to promote consultancy and admission information, career guidance and training programs of VNU-VJU as well as coordinate in organizing exchange programs and Japanese cultural events.
Attending the ceremony, on the side of VJU, there were Prof. Furuta Motoo - Rector of the university, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Oanh - Vice Rector, Mr. Tsujomoto Atsushi – Sub-Chief of TC2 Project and other representatives from VJU. On the side of JIS-ESS, there were Prof. Dao Xuan Hoc - Chairman of JIS-ESS, Mr. Toyama Shinji – JIP Program Director, Mr. Kendal Rolley – CIP Program Acting Director and other representatives from JIS-ESS.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dao Xuan Hoc - Chairman of JIS-ESS said that besides the development of science and technology, Japan is also a leading country in moral and human education. JIS is an education model that applies the philosophies of Japanese cultural identity in Vietnam. Although it has only 6 years of development, JIS has achieved certain successes and has plans to continue to expand this education model in many other provinces and cities. The professor also expressed his delight at the cooperation between the two parties and believes that this will bring many development opportunities for both sides in the future.
Prof. Furuta Motoo – Rector of VJU expressed his impression of the vision, development orientation and training program of JIS, which has many similarities with VJU. Prof. Furuta also provided some information about VJU and at the same time, emphasized the differences between VJU and other universities in Vietnam. Finally, the Professor expressed his belief in the new cooperation relationship, which would bring many benefits to both sides as well as the future generations of the country.
The cooperation focuses on organizing admission consulting activities, providing information related to enrollment, career orientation, and VNU Vietnam Japan University’s training programs as well as coordinating to organize exchange programs and Japanese cultural events. VJU will coordinate to organize admission counseling, and provide information on career guidance, enrollment, and training programs of VJU with JIS-ESS. Moreover, VJU will also support the promotion campaign of JIS-ESS at VJU. On the other side, JIS-ESS will coordinate to organize admission counseling, and provide information on career guidance, enrollment, and training programs of VNU Vietnam Japan University, as well as support the promotion campaign of VJU at Japanese International School System and Eco School System.
At the end of the ceremony, under the witness of representatives of both sides, Prof. Furuta and Prof. Dao Xuan Hoc signed the MOU together, officially opening a new door towards sustainable development together and bringing many values to students.
