11. Summary of novelty of the dissertation
- Contributing to develope Sustainable development’s theory and application for export activities. The dissertation bring out new concept of “Sustainable development” consisting of contents, criterion and developed model of sustainable development. The theory of sustainable development is a foundation to test the policy of export development, to assess export activities in reality according to contents, criterion of sustainable development . The model of sustainable development can be applied for other economic industries. This is a new researching direction that has not drawn attention of Vietnamese researching circle.
- Innitiatly making clear the sustainability of export activities of Vietnam during the process from 1995 to 2008 Bước đầu làm rõ tính bền vững của hoạt động xuất khẩu Việt Nam trong giai đoạn 1995-2008 according to criterion of sustainable development. Particularly, to give out general judges on export situation of Vietnam toward sustainable development in the aspects of rate and quality of export growth, contribution of export to economic growth and stability, resolve of social and environmental issues.
- Proposing some views and solutions of policy orientaion in order to develop sustainable export in Vietnam for the coming period. These proposals contribute to enhance the effectiveness of policy-making on sustainable export in Vietnam in the process of international economic integration. Findings of the dissertation provide scientific basis and practice to build a model of sustainable export growth, to establish strategy and master-plan to develop Vietnamese export in the period from 2011 to 2020.
12. Applicable ability in reality: Findings of the dissertation can be referred during the time of establishing strategy and master plan to develop Vietnamese export in the period from 2011 to 2020. The model of sustainable export can be used to assess sustainability of export commodities and other economic industries.
13. Direction for continuing research: Researching in depth on sustainability related to social and environmental aspects of export activities. Researching sustainability of particular export commodities.
