- The thesis has collected, described, deeply analyzed and clarified the views, guidelines on the economic restructuring of Bac Lieu's Party.
- The thesis has contributed to restore an objective process in which Bac Lieu’s Party led to shift the economic structure over 2 periods: 1997-2000 and 2001-2006.
- In scientific perspective, initial assessments and reviews have been made to see the success and limitations; as well as to draw some experiences which can be applied for the present situation.
- The thesis has exploited new documents which can contribute data for research on economic restructuring of the country (in general) and Bac Lieu (in particular).
