10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- The thesis is the first comprehensive and systematic research of the genre "Six - eight poetry" in such aspects as its structure, genetic features, permanent values, as well as notable phenomena in the course of its development from the past to the modern time.

- The thesis clarifies the theoretical issues of six - eight poetry and its uniqueness which differentiates it from other poetical genres, analyzing and evaluating various approaches to this genre, especially that of traditional and modern issues. The thesis presents the origin, the formation, and the development of six - eight poetry, and analysizes its characteristics. Based on understanding the concepts of tradition and traditional values, thesis points out core values and typical cases of classical six - eight poetry. Based on analyzing  such concepts as modern, modernity, and the continuity of of the traditional and the modern in poetry, the thesis clarifies the relationship between aspects of tradition and innovation of six - eight poetry.

The research results of the thesis contribute to confirming the position and significant contributions of six - eight poetry in the course of national poetry as well as arts, culture, ethnicity, and country life from ancient times up to the present.

The research results of the thesis can be applied to learning, teaching and study of literature Vietnam in general and Vietnam in particular poetry.
