7. Thesis title: Designing and developing an INS/GPS integrated navigation system for moving objects.

8. Major: Radio Physics and Electronics                                     9. Code: 62440105

10. Supervisors:

- Principal supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Chu Duc Trinh

- Associate supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Tran Duc Tan

11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- Analyzing and characterizing the errors of the MEMS sensors used in INS navigation system. The characterization of sensor errors plays a pivotal role in building INS/GPS integrated navigation system for moving objects.

- Successfully designing and developing an INS/GPS integrated navigation system using the flexible Kalman filter structures suitable for the conditions when the GPS signal is not stable or interrupted.

12. Practical applicability:

- The developed system meets the requirements of a navigation system for vehicles moving on the ground.

13. Further research directions:

- Developing intelligent filtering algorithms to further improve the accuracy of the integrated system.

- Adding sensors and algorithms to stabilize integrated navigation system in case of GPS signal is interrupted during a fairly long time.
