11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- The thesis describes and analyses the discourse structure of President Ho’s speech. Base on these analysis, the thesis shows typical structure of the discourse.

- The thesis analyses the actions of calling, advising, recommendating in the call of President Ho discourse.

- The thesis analyses communication strategies and words used for addressing as expression of languistic power.

- The thesis does research of 3 cases in order to clarify characteristic of discourse and language that President Ho used in the calling.

12. Practical applicability, if any:

The results of the thesis can be used as reference material for learning, teaching, research on language and discourse that has call of President Ho from functional aspect.

- Researching verbal actions in the calling discourses.
