5. Admission Decision of President of Vietnam National University, Ha Noi No.4974/QĐ-ĐHQGHN dated 31/12/2013 on recognition of fellowship year 2013.

6. Changes in academic process:

            - Decision No.112/QĐ-ĐHQGHN dated 16/01/2017 of President of Vietnam National University, Ha Noi allows to extent 12 months.

            - Name of thesis was adjusted by Decision of the basic level commission, dated 08th April 2017 to suit the results of thesis. The former name of the thesis “Basing on  Community to Wise Use of Wetland in the Context of Climate Change – Case Study of Paddy Land in Go Cong Dong District, Tien Giang Province” is adjusted to the new name as “Wise Use of Paddy Land Bases on Community in the Context of Climate Change in Go Cong Dong District, Tien Giang Province”.     

7. Official thesis title: Wise Use of Paddy Land Bases on Community in the Context of Climate Change in Go Cong Dong District, Tien Giang Province.

11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

            - Basing on using eco-system and community base approach, the thesis applied community issues into adaptation to Climate change (CC) in using paddy land in coastal areas. From the theoretical and practical basis, that has proved the important roles of the community in the efficient use of paddy land and adaptation to CC in coastal areas.

            - Applying MultiCriteria Evaluation (MCE) method to propose models of using paddy land that can be adapted to CC to im prove that CC can be opportunities to change models of agricultural livelihood on paddy land that is more effective than monoculture.

            - Proposing the solutions which applied indigenous knowledges to wise use of paddy land adapted to the negative impacts of CC that haved consensus, benefit share of related communities based on implementing the 9 steps of community participation in a specific project/thesis and 5 principles of community-based coastal resource management.

            - Finding the inadequacies of paddy land use policy in context of CC to propose recommendations for government adjusted its to use effectively paddy land.

12. Practical applicability

The results of study supply the practical basis for the managers of Tien Giang and Go Cong Dong districts consider and refer in process of developing strategies and plans for using paddy can cope with CC.

The results of study that will propose recommendations for government considers, adjusts the inadequacies of policy to make the favourable condition to extend models of paddy land use that can change negative impacts of CC into opportunities to improve the efficiency of use.

13. Further research directions

Studying on replication of models of wise use of paddy land that adapted to CC and monitored and evaluated comprehensively the effectiveness of the replication process.
