11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis

- Identification of one cultivar Nopal cultivated in Vietnam with the best blood glucose lowering effect: Jalpa.

- Determine the nutritive composition, qualitative groups of substances, isolate, determine the structure and name the compounds in the ethylacetate high segment of the plant. Ethylacetate is highly selective for hypoglycaemia, cholesterol and the ability to activate p-AMPK and p-ACC.

- Identify 01 substance is Typhaneosid, characteristic in Jalpa cactus which actives p-AMPK and p-ACC, inhibits FAS (fatty acid synthesis), increases glucose uptake in cells.

12. Paratical applicability, if any:

Make use of the nopal cactus material grown in Ninh Thuan to prevent sand mobility in the dry zone and to use as medicinal herbs material, plant extracts that can be used as a supportive drug for diabetes mellitus. meaningful matters.

The selection of segment with hypoglycemic efficacy superior to that of other Jalpa cactus species will contribute to the identification of active ingredients from this segment. On the other hand, in the industrial production, the selection of high-throughput fractions will have a certain effect on productivity and economic efficiency.

Selection of typhaneosides as the major and specific component of the Jalpa cactus cultivar belonging to the genus Opuntia ficus indica, activating p-AMPK and p-ACC, inhibiting FAS (fatty acid synthesis), increasing glucose uptake in the cell of this compound is intended as a marker active substance for medicinal and pharmaceutical products in the future.
