11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis

- Building theoretical basis and practical significance of environmental geomorphology, for environmental management in general and geotourism development in particular;

- A map of the distribution of 11 geomorphological resource types with 52 geomorphosites has been built, belonging to 6 geomorphological environments in the semi-arid climate zone of the coastal strip of Binh Thuan province, including: generalized denudation (also known as slope processes), surface flow geomorphological environment, lake geomorphological environment, mixed river-sea geomorphological environment (also known as delta environment), wind geomorphological environment, and coastal geomorphological environment;

  - Analyze and evaluate the diversity and specificity of geomorphological resources, evaluate the value of outstanding geomorphological sites (hoặc geomorphosites) relics as well as related hazards in the coastal strip of Binh Thuan province;

- 12 geomorphological relic sites have been selected for evaluation according to the following criteria: Scientific and intrinsic values; Educational values; Economic values; Conservation values; Additional values to evaluate the geomorphological relics for geotourism development and to propose the ranking of international, national and local geomorphological heritage as well as heritage sites, clusters heritage and heritage areas, connecting routes in the study area;

- Proposing orientations for the development of geotourism with 4 heritage clusters, 3 heritage regions, inter-regional routes, and clusters in the study area on the basis of combining assessment results of outstanding geomorphological relics in coastal areas Binh Thuan province with analysis of the current state of tourism development, planning and 29 cultural and historical sites.

12. Practical applicability:

The study evaluates the value of 12 typical geomorphological relics and proposes 4 heritage clusters, 3 heritage areas, 4 inter-cluster geotourism routes, and 2 inter-regional routes in the coastal strip of Binh Thuan province. This is, the scientific basis can use the orientation of developing geotourism in the coastal strip of Binh Thuan province. Research is an important document, used when the locality compiles records for recognition of geomorphological heritage, at local, national and international levels.

13. Further research directions:

Geomorphological resources in the area need further research to build a geological-geomorphological natural heritage profile for the coastal zone of Binh Thuan province. Environmental geomorphological research is a new research direction in Vietnam with very practical significance in socio-economic development, environmental protection and management towards the ultimate goal of sustainable development. Therefore, further studies are needed for other regions.
