11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

The thesis systematized the concepts and studies related to the efficiency of fund investment in general, the social security fund in particular, the influencing factors and the fund investment efficiency evaluation model. Based on the collected database, the results of analysis and testing of the model, the following results were obtained:

Firstly, evaluate the financial efficiency of investment of social security fund in the period 2008-2018.

Second, the department is in charge of investment in the fund's 04 investment assets, including: buying government bonds, time deposits, investment in projects and demand deposits. has been assessed the technical efficiency of each department each year in the period 2008-2018.

Third, the thesis examines the factors affecting the technical efficiency of the management departments of social security fund investment activities in the types of investment assets in the period 2008-2018.

12. Practical applicability:

The thesis is the first study in the country to comprehensively evaluate the investment efficiency of social insurance funds in Vietnam from two perspectives, namely financial efficiency and technical efficiency by quantitative method and the first study to use Using Tobit regression model to test the factors affecting the technical efficiency of investment activities of social insurance funds in Vietnam. Thereby, the thesis can be used as a basis for Vietnam Social Security to continue to conduct further research to improve the efficiency of investment activities of social insurance funds in Vietnam.

13. Further research directions:

- Take the study with domestic financial investment funds to further confirm the results of the study.

- Expanding the study by assessing the impact of a number of factors such as management capacity, the level of information technology application on the effectiveness of fund investment activities.
