11.  Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

Firstly, the thesis proves that literature is a form of representing reality in the aim of laying the foundation to study forms of representation of reality in the novel genre.

Secondly, the thesis examines two forms of representation in post-1986 Vietnamese novels; these forms include imitation of reality and arrangement of reality.

Thirdly, the thesis demonstrates interactions and relations between different forms of representation of reality in the aim of recognizing moves and reforms of post-1986 Vietnamese novels.

12. Practical applicability, if any:

The thesis can be served as a document for researching, studying and teaching literature theory in high schools and at universities.
