- External communication is an important part of foreign affairs and ideology of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The dissertation presented, analyzed the Party's policies and direction on external communication activities from 1986 to 2013.

- The thesis reviewed the achievements and constraints in the leadership of the Party for external communication activities from 1986 to 2013.

- Initially, the thesis summarized the practical and scientific experience from the leadership of the Party for external communication activities from 1986 to 2013.

- In particular, the thesis collected a number of systematic documents related to the research project, which enriches the historical information regarding to foreign affairs, external information of the Vietnam for the period of 1986-2013.

The results of the thesis can be a reference for policy-making or teaching, research on external communication activities in Vietnam.
