-  Establishes a theoretical framework in analyzing the relations between small and big state, strategies of small states toward big states.

- Analyzes the major factors which impact on the relations and the development of Thai - Sino relations from 2001 to 2016 in the fields of politics, economics, security-defense, culture, education, technology, etc.

- Examines the characteristics of Thai-Sino relations, achievements and problems remaining in the bilateral relations, the impacts of the relations on the situation of Thailand, China and the international relations in the Southeast Asia.
