11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

First, the thesis synthesizes the concepts and theories underlying the development model as well as the concepts and practice foundations in Bhutan and other countries.

Second, the thesis sets forth the objective and subjective conditions that constitute the Bhutanese development model, as well as identifies the difficulties and challenges of model development.

Third, the thesis analyzes the impacts of the model on the international, individual, national level as well as international organisations, and suggests the issue of sustainable development.

12. Practical applicability, if any:

Firstly, the thesis argues that with the urgency of solving environmental problems, as well as the way of measuring the quality of sustainable development, Bhutan's development model is an open model of choice depending on each nation’s objective and subjective conditions.

Secondly, the thesis shows the direction of sustainable development in line with the policies and guidelines for the development of the MDGs as well as the solutions to climate change and measuring the quality of life now and in the future.
