In theoretical terms: The thesis has synthesized and introduced systematically the outstanding theoretical achievements of modern aesthetics (about the Beauty, the Sublime the Tragedy, the Comedy) as a premise for the direction. Access to literary works from the perspective of aesthetic categories. At the same time, proving its feasibility and superiority in studying a phenomenon or a specific literary problem.

In practical terms: The thesis has contributed to clarify the aesthetic conception of Nguyen Huy Thiep about the aesthetic categories; Point out the rich unique manifestations of Beauty, the Sublime, the Tragedy, the Comedy, the Paradox, the Grotesque in the compositions; Establishing the aesthetic nature and aesthetic effect of those categories for his works, the creative journey of the writer and the reception process of readers. From there, make appropriate and objective assessments and assessments about the aesthetic value of the works, about the creative capacity of Nguyen Huy Thiep and the role of contemporary readers in a review process.
