11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

Firstly, the thesis will be an in-depth and comprehensive study on regulations, practice of dispute settlement procedures and procedures for Advisory opinions at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the experience of a Some countries use ICJ to settle international disputes today. Study how the ICJ evaluates evidence, arguments, accepts or rejects the types of evidence and arguments submitted by the disputing parties or collected by the ICJ itself.

Second, study the proposed limitations and propose amendments and supplements to the provisions of the UN Charter, the Statute and Rules of the Court and Vietnamese laws contribute to perfecting international and domestic laws.

Third, the thesis deeply researches the issue of conditions and solutions to ensure Vietnam's effective use of ICJ to settle international disputes. Building scientific arguments for Vietnam to apply when deciding to participate in the settlement of international disputes at ICJ.

12. Practical applicability, if any: 

The thesis will be an in-depth and elaborately researched scientific document on dispute settlement procedures and procedures for Advisory opinions by ICJ, providing a theoretical and practical basis for Vietnam when settling disputes. international dispute at ICJ. After the thesis is successfully defended, it will be a legal scientific document with reference value, serving our country to consider the possibility of resolving current international disputes by ICJ.

13. Further research directions, if any: 

With the scope of the thesis, it is not possible to research in the direction of building legal documents, arguments and evidences for dispute settlement for each specific type of dispute; prepare legal documents, arguments and evidence to use ICJ's recommendation for Advisory opinions for acts that infringe on Vietnam's sovereign rights and jurisdiction. Study the ICJ's judgment enforcement mechanism, especially to limit political factors affecting the ICJ's judgment enforcement process. These are large, very complex legal issues that need further research.
