At the meeting, the two sides discussed the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the US in general as well as between American universities and VNU in particular.
Prof.Dr.Sc. Vu Minh Giang stated that VNU had always highly appreciated American higher education and American universities as well. VNU had developed the cooperative relations with some American universities including the University of Chicago, Indiana University, the University of Iowa,… Such cooperative linkages had made an active contribution to improving the quality of training and scientific research at VNU. Prof.Dr.Sc Vu Minh Giang emphasized that expanding and enhancing the international cooperation had become an important factor in bringing VNU to the international level, therefore, VNU wished to further promote the cooperation relationship with American universities for the mutual development.
Mr. Christopher W. Hodges expressed his pleasure at visiting VNU and hoped for more concrete and intensive cooperation activities between the two sides so as to improve the quality and effectiveness of the existing cooperation.
