On May 13th, 2021, International School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IS) hosted an online meeting with Ms. Olga Pogosian, Head of International Department, Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI), Russia; as well as other colleagues from MAI.

Attending the working session were representatives of VNU, including Prof. Dr. Sc. Nguyen Dinh Duc, Director of Academic Affairs Department; along with representatives of VNU-IS from the Office of Research & Partnership Development, Office of Academic Affairs and Department of Natural Science and Technology.

At the meeting, representatives of both sides discussed in details of the Bachelor of Control Systems and Computer Science in engineering program, with degree awarded by MAI. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussion about the possibility of implementing the program following the 2+2 training model, as well as the method of implementing the program and the mapping of the curriculum for the first 02 years in Vietnam. Whereby, VNU-IS will select and design the courses of the first 02 years accordingly.

Established in 1930, Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) is one of several major engineering higher education establishments in Moscow, Russia. Since its inception, MAI has been spearheading advances in aerospace technology both within Russia and worldwide. The university laid emphasis on laboratory instruction in applied science and engineering, specific to the demands of aerospace industry.

MAI’s reputation for a quality education, signature programs, service and affordability bring them a total of 21.000 student enrollment, with around 1.500 international students on campus.

It is hoped that in 2021, VNU-IS and MAI will strengthen their cooperation and development which brings about fruitful result.
