VNU’s first fully-funded scholarship for basic science students
In the 2022-2023 academic year, VNU will start piloting fully-funded scholarships for basic science students from VNU University of Science and VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities, including exemption of tuition and dormitory fees; priority to participate in scientific research and the Scientist incubation program; priority consideration for other scholarships and a 20-million-VND living allowance per school year.

Currently, VNU has many different scholarship policies, including state budget grants and scholarships funded by domestic and foreign organizations and individuals. However, according to the current state regulations, budget-based scholarships are only available to high achievers; whereas, the basic sciences have difficulty in recruiting students. Therefore, VNU is a pioneer in piloting the granting of fully-funded scholarships for students applying for VNU's basic sciences right from the first year.

Thus, VNU's scholarship program for basic sciences will create an open mechanism to help students with excellent achievements study their favorite subjects with attractive scholarship policies, encouraging their learning, motivating them to become good students, developing human resources for higher education levels as well as scientific human resources in the future.

In the coming time, VNU will apply many other scholarship and support policies, such as supporting boarding high schools for ethnic minorities, providing scholarships for excellent ethnic minorities students, etc.

VNU’s Scholarship program for basic sciences from the 2022-2023 academic year aims to attract good and excellent students to VNU's Scientist incubation program.
