This was the first MoU signed between VNU President and Bach Mai hospital Director in order to support the enhancement of education quality assurance and development of cooperation in training and scientific research, contributing to provide the country with human resources and scientific and technological products of high quality in the fields of medicine and pharmacy.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof.Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan showed his pleasure and pride in the cooperation with Bach Mai hospital. He reckoned that the cooperation between the two organizations would be a model of university – research institute cooperation and that the two organizations had been sharing many similarities in having high cooperation demand on training of business and hospital managers; having high demand on the application of science and high technology in diagnosing and treating diseases; having the mechanism of autonomy and self-responsibility; and aiming at reaching international standards.
VNU President shared that thanks to the support from the Ministry of Health and relevant organizations, VNU Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy had been established to train human resources with high knowledge of science and technology to serve the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. He hoped that with the cooperation and support of Bach Mai hospital, VNU Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy would reduce challenges and promote advantages.
Dr. Nguyen Quoc Anh believed that the MoU would open cooperation opportunities for the two sides. He emphasized that Bach Mai hospital’s strong point was clinical and paraclinical aspects while VNU’s was Labo system, therefore, the collaboration would open various clinical research directions which would benefit the patients.
Also, at the meeting, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc – VNU Vice President introduced early cooperation activities implemented basing on the reality of Bach Mai hospital’s operations, namely carrying out scientific research activities related to nano application, molecular biology and information technology in medicine.
