Community-oriented activities

VNU's Trade Union has issued an official request calling on all VNU’s employees to share difficulties with flood-affected people in Central Vietnam. VNU and its member units visited and presented gifts to the victims of Tropical Storm Nangka to help them overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives after the natural disaster. VNU Youth Union and Student Union organized numerous volunteer activities attracting the participation of a large number of students, namely "Green Summer"; “Entrance exam support program"; "Warm winter program"; blood donation; support for the poor and disaster-stricken people, which was highly appreciated by the society. VNU’s units have always actively participated in charity activities, sharing and joining hands with fellow citizens across the country to overcome difficulties.

Joining hands with the country in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic

High social responsibility is one of the core values of VNU. VNU’s units always actively participate in all national important tasks. VNU National Defense and Security Education Centre is one of the key units in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. On March 29th, 2020, the Centre was officially requisitioned as a concentrated quarantine area under Decision 1275/QD-UBND of the Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee. With the determination to jointly prevent and defeat the Covid-19 epidemic, the Board of Directors of VNU National Defense and Security Education Centre proposed guidelines and measures to lead and swiftly and effectively implement the named Decision and the plans of functional agencies on concentrated isolation areas. The Centre successfully completed its task as a concentrated isolation area; implemented various activities to help prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic as well as well fulfill its due functions and tasks
