VNU ULIS students win prizes of 21st “Chinese Bridge” competition for students from universities in the North and Central regions of Vietnam

On May 28th, 2022, the final of the 21st “Chinese Bridge” contest for students of universities in the North and Central regions of Vietnam was held.

The contest aims to create a playground for Chinese language learners of universities and colleges in the North and Central Vietnam to meet and exchange, express their love and understanding toward Chinese language and culture. The contest is also a place for lecturers and especially students to exchange knowledge, experience and connect with friends. Participating in this year’s competition were 25 contestants from 23 universities in the North and Central regions of Vietnam.

The contest had 3 rounds: Round 1 (Eloquence), Round 2 (Answering question about Chinese culture) and Round 3 (Showcasing talents). The contestants demonstrated their Chinese fluency and diverse talents through different types of art such as singing, dancing, calligraphy, puppetry, shade dancing, trumpeting, martial arts, etc.

Two ULIS students, Pham Hoang Duong and Tran Phuong Thao Ly, successfully overcame 23 contestants and won the high prize.
