MoU signed between VNU and Kanagawa University
In the afternoon of August 23, 2012, VNU and Kanagawa University entered an MoU on student exchange.

Attending the MoU signing ceremony were Prof. Michio Nakajima - Kanagawa University’s President, Prof.Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan – VNU’s President, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Kim Son – VNU’s Vice President and leaders of VNU functional departments.
Founded in 1928 as Yokohama Academy, the University took the name of Kanagawa University since 1949. Kanagawa University is a comprehensive university with 18 undergraduate majors and 16 graduate majors in Law, Economics, Business administration, Foreign languages, Social sciences, Engineering, History and Folk culture. Kanagawa University has more than 18,000 students and the University encourages their students to enroll in interdisciplinary majors to take full advantage of its flexible training system.
The MoU aims to create exchange opportunities for the students of the two universities, particularly for VNU students to improve their ability at Japanese famous universities. Furthermore, the MoU contributed to realize the two sides’ Agreement signed at the second Vietnam – Japan University Presidents’ Conference held in March 2012.
Prof. Michio Nakajima expressed his pleasure to cooperate with VNU, the leading university in Vietnam. Recognizing the similarities between the two universities, he believed that this signing ceremony would mark new development opportunities for both sides.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Kim Son hoped for promoting the cooperation in research and student exchange with Japanese universities in general and Kanagawa University in particular. He stated that VNU would honor to become the first Vietnamese partner of Kanagawa University and hoped that the cooperation would bring high effectiveness and benefits for students of both universities.
