The 10th CONFRASIE opened
On October 2nd & 3rd at Hanoi Medical University, the 10th CONFRASIE (the Regional Conference of Rectors of the member universities of the “University Agency of the French-speaking world” (AUF) in Asia Pacific) was organized, gathering more than 100 participants from Asian-Pacific universities including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Thailand, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, etc.

VNU President, Prof.Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan and representatives of VNU International Relations Department and some VNU affiliated universities also participated in the opening ceremony of the conference.
The two-day conference focused its discussions on some issues such as university ranking and its impact on the strategies of higher education organizations, or higher education quality improvement.
Also on this occasion, CONFRASIE summarized its activities in the past 2 years and set orientation for its activities in the Asia-Pacific region in the years to come. And AUF took this opportunity to collect the ideas from its member universities about its operations and activities in this region.
Within the framework of the 10th CONFRASIE, on October 4th & 5th, the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering hosted the meeting of the association of universities supporting specialized training programs in French language with the attendance of representatives from Asian-Pacific, European and American universities in attempt to help promote training programs in French language within the region.
CONFRASIE - the Regional Conference of Rectors of the member universities of the “University Agency of the French-speaking world” (AUF) in Asia Pacific, is a biennial event initiated in 2000, which has created opportunities for dialogue among the AUF members in the Asia-Pacific region.
