VNU-JICA: Cooperation for development
On January 29, 2013, Prof.Dr. Phùng Xuân Nhạ - VNU Permanent Vice President and Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Đức – VNU Vice President had a meeting with Dr. Manabu Tsunoda –Senior Advisor of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

At the meeting, the two sides discussed issues on developing VNU into a university of international standards, focusing on training and research programs.
According to Prof.Dr. Phùng Xuân Nhạ, VNU has great advantage in raising its position to the international level thanks to its numerous number of excellent professors, associate professors, doctors, lecturers as well as talented students. Besides, VNU always attaches special importance to staff-student exchange with leading universities in the world to expand knowledge, gain experiences, improve facilities and establish close relationships with foreign partners worldwide. Prof.Dr. Phùng Xuân Nhạ hoped that JICA would contribute its discussions, consultancy as well as support to VNU’s development strategy in the coming time.
