VNU and Ben - Gurion University: Searching for cooperation opportunity
On November 21st, 2013, Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Đức, Vice president of VNU had a working meeting with a delegation from Ben-Gurion University, Israel, led by Prof.Dr. Rifka Carmi.

Ms. Meirav Eilon Shahar, Vietnam-based Israeli ambassador plenipotenary and extraordinary; Mr. Rafiman Shuel Moshe- Ramat Nev mayor and Mr. Yaakov Moskovitz, Director of Ramat Negev desert Reseach Center, were also on hand.
At the working meeting, the two sides introduced, exchanged and opened up the directions for cooperation such as the joint training, scientific researches, exchange of students and lecturers and so on. Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Đức and Prof. Rifka Carmi hoped that in the future the cooperative programs will be deployed and thereby help boost the cooperation between VNU and Ben - Gurion University in particular and the universities in Israel in general.
Besides, Prof.Dr. Rifka Carmi emphasized that Ben-Gurion university will provide scholarships and financial supports for excellent VNU postgraduates who will come to study and do research in Israel as well as getting ready to coordinate to open the short-term training courses for students and staff officials of the two universities.
Ms. Meirav Eilon Shahar believed that the Vietnam-based Israeli Embassy will create conditions and act as a bridge to promote the cooperation in exchanging the academic relations among the Vietnamese and Israeli universities, making a contribution to taking the Israeli and Vietnamese relations and cooperation to the ever increasing development.
