11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis

- Theoretical research results have identified the concepts, characteristics, principles, the role of referendum institutions, factors affecting the referendum institution, criteria for evaluation the degree of perfection of the referendum.

- The results of practical research have shown that the process of forming referendum institutions in Vietnam, the reality of the current referendum institution, the issues show the limitations and shortcomings, the shortcomings of the institution should be recognized and remedied and perfected. Through comparison, compare with some typical regulations of some countries in the world to draw some practical lessons suitable to the actual situation of our country.

- Summary of both theoretical and practical research results is the basis for a number of proposals to supplement, adjust and perfect the referendum mechanism both in terms of regulations as well as apply in social reality.

12. Practical applicability, if any:

The thesis has proposed a number of proposals to apply the regulations of referendum institutions that can go into real life, help people get acquainted with political activities, raise citizen awareness, responsibility to the nation and nation, thereby helping to strengthen and promote democracy, affirming the role and legal status of the people. First, the referendum can be adopted to adopt a new Constitution if the National Assembly carries out additional amendments in the coming sessions.

13. Further research directions, if any:

The author will continue to focus on researching a number of other legal institutions mainly related to two areas: human rights and democracy implementation. Particular attention should be paid to studying human rights of vulnerable groups, migrant workers' groups, and national self-determination; The forms of direct democracy implementation are increasingly popular in the world such as citizen initiatives, agenda initiatives.
