Scholarship for Master Degree in Information Technology

 

General Information: Two Master Programs in Information Technology (IT) of European standards, in Intelligent and Multimedia System and Data Transmission and Computer Network, offered by two famous French universities La Rochelle and Lyon 1 in cooperation with the International Francophone Institute of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU IFI), have 20 years of tradition. The programs are taught in French by lecturers from well known universities, research institutes and corporations from France, Belgium, Canada and Vietnam. Upon graduation, students are granted 2 degrees of the French Universities and VNU. These are the only two programs in Vietnam granted “International Quality” certification by AUF. Among 400 graduates of the programs, 50% continue their doctorate studies in France, Belgium, Canada and Switzerland. Currently, 60% of  students of the programs come from the member countries of the Francophone Community (La Francophonie).

 

Curriculum: Year 1 (Master 1) and the first semester of Year 2 (Master 2) are conducted at VNU-IFI; Students then pass an internship in France/ other developed countries or in Vietnam (5-6 months). At the end of the internship, they will write and defend their master thesis.


Scholarships:


* 20 Standard Scholarships: each worth VND150 million (US$6,666), equivalent to 100% of tuition fee, funded by AUF (students pay only the enrollment fee of VND10 million/year)

* 10 Standard Plus Scholarships: each worth VND150 million (US$6,666), equivalent to 100% of tuition fee, funded by AUF (students pay only the enrollment fee of VND10 million/year); In addition, students are entitled to a subsidy equivalent to US$150/month during 16 months. This subsidy is enough for insurance, meals and housing in VNU dormitory.

* In addition, there are internship scholarships (including roundtrip airfare, insurance) for students with good academic results.

 

Eligibility: applicants must hold a Bachelor Degree in IT and a certificate of French language at B2 level or equivalent (exempted are: 1) French native speakers and 2) graduates from a university/program in which French is the teaching language). 

 

Admission procedure:

Selection is conducted by application dossiers screening and interview. 

 

Application dossiers include: 1) Application Letter (Form) and 2) Copy of Diploma Degree and Transcripts.
