11. Summary of new findings of the thesis:

(1) Based on the systematization of theoretical studies on land, land acquisition, land use, land use rights, development opportunities; the thesis has developed the concept of development opportunity and clarification of some related concepts.

(2) By combining the use of quantitative and qualitative survey methods in Sociology, the thesis has pointed out the current status of land acquisition policies in Vu Thu district, Thai Binh province and analyzed development opportunities of the resident group whose land is recovered when implementing the policy of land acquisition and land clearance

(3) The thesis has proposed some recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the implementation of land acquisition and land clearance policies.

12. Practical applicability, if any:

 (1) Thai Binh authorities can consult to supplement and improve local policies

(2) To make reference materials for State management agencies in the land field to implement land acquisition policies and create development opportunities for households whose land are recovered.
