VNU has promoted digital transformation, application of digital technology, associated with advanced university management innovation, forming a safe, synchronous digital environment, connected throughout the inner city area and its new campus in Hoa Lac. VNU continued to complete and thoroughly deploy Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as a basis for evaluating agencies, units and their leaders.

Along with that, VNU continued to promote digital transformation and application of digital technology to meet the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in training, scientific research and university administration, including OneVNU, MyVNU, VNUPortal.
VNU has boosted up digital transformation, focusing on learning materials, staff and student data digitalization; strengthening the implementation of online administrative procedures and implementing online training. VNU has issued "VNU’s Digital university architecture to 2025, vision 2030 in accordance with Vietnam e-Government architecture framework, version 2.0"; promulgated the Plan for IT application and digital university development until 2025; developed Guidelines on ensuring information security and database security on VNU's information technology platforms; built and proposed the Smart University Urban ICT Framework of VNU in Hoa Lac, etc.
In recent times, VNU has diversified domestic cooperation activities to increase resources for training, scientific research and enhance the position of VNU. VNU was also a favourite destination for a number of heads of state and senior leaders of countries and international organizations. In addition, VNU has fostered, implemented and exploited cooperation with international partners including promoting the construction and implementation of international projects (VIBE, PHER, etc.) as well as enhancing public-private partnership (PPP) projects.
In 2023, VNU President issued Decision No. 2905/QĐ-ĐHQGHN dated August 9, 2023 on promulgating the provisional guidance on implementing public-private partnership project investment process at VNU. Through the document, VNU clearly shows transparency and publicity in the process of PPP project implementation and wishes to encourage this form of investment. Therefore, the guidance is expected to help VNU’s units and individuals save time on information research and investigation and take the initiative in implementing assigned tasks in accordance with the law when participating in the PPP project process; and to offer more convenience for investors, other organizations and individuals in getting relevant information on PPP project investment at VNU to speed up the construction of VNU town in Hoa Lac.

In the past year, at the conference to implement cooperation with T&T Group Joint Stock Company and Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB), the two sides developed cooperation in urban infrastructure development in VNU town in Hoa Lac; scientific research and technology transfer; training and developing human resources; and social security. The initial results in implementing the cooperation between the two sides have contributed to the development of VNU as well as T&T Group.
In particular, VNU successfully organized the VNU Investment Promotion Conference 2023 with many practical activities to attract the attention of the businesses in the field of education, training, science and technology; and promote investment in developing a national level university town approaching the level of the world-class universities.
