- Firstly, the thesis synthesizes and evaluates relevant published research results, thereby finding the “shortcomings” to be discussed.

- Secondly, the thesis systematically presents the theoretical basis of international economic integration and national security as well as the impact of international economic integration on national security..

- Thirdly, the thesis studies and analyzes the process of Vietnam’s international economic integration since 2001, and identify the achievements, shortcomings, limitations, causes on that basis.

- Fourthly, the thesis studies and analyzes the impact of international economic integration on Vietnam’s national security since 2001, issues to be focused and viewpoints to be thoroughly grasped.

- Fifthly, on the basis of theoretical and practical research, the thesis proposes a number of solutions to improve the efficiency of international economic integration and ensure national security in the coming time.

12. Prospect for practical application

- The thesis contributes to enrichment of the system of theoretical research on Vietnam’s international economic integration, thereby contributing to strengthening the the path to socialism and the defense of the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland in the new context.

- The thesis can be used as a reference for future study, research and education on subjects related to international economic integration; and a source of suggestion for solutions to limit the current negative impacts in Vietnam of international economic integration.

- The thesis’s proposals can be significant in foreign policy making in general, international economic integration in particular, with special attention on national security in the context of globalization and industrial revolution 4.0.

Studies on new features of international economic integration in the context of complicated global development and the impacts on Vietnam’s national security, especially non-traditional security.
