Attending the program was the Toshiba Corporation delegation led by Mr Fuminori Kishino - Chief Executive of Technology and Innovation Committee.

This time, the Toshiba Corporation awarded 12 full scholarships worth ¥100,000/each and 06 partial scholarships worth ¥50,000/each for graduate and research students who are in the difficult situation to participate in scientific researches, or for those who have reports and articles published in the journals and proceedings, making ​​many contributions to the social activities.

VNU Vice President Nguyễn Kim Sơn believed that the Toshiba scholarship program is very important in supporting the training of highly qualified, high quality human resources of VNU. The program not only helps VNU graduate students and fellows have better conditions for their study and research work but also opens up opportunities to access modern technologies, the advanced mode of organization and management of a large and prestigious business group like Toshiba.

VNU Vice President Nguyễn Kim Sơn  and the Executive Board and Head of Technology and Innovation Department Fuminori Kishino confirmed the long-term cooperation between VNU - a leading center for training and scientific research of Vietnam, where high-quality human resources for the country are trained and fostered and the Toshiba Group, one of the powerful industrial groups in Japan. The two leaders also expressed their confidence in the ever increasing development of the Toshiba Scholarship Program, making a contribution to strengthening the effective relations and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in general and between VNU and Toshiba in particular.
