On June 18, 2023, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) published a Statistical Table on the number of international articles in the WoS/Scopus system of member universities and schools throughout VNU in the first 6 months of 2023. Accordingly, VNU International School (VNU-IS) ranked second with a total of 389 ISI/SCOPUS publications, including 32 Q1 articles, 17 Q2 articles, 40 Q3 articles.
With a policy of concentrated investment, quality, and innovative, flexible operational mechanisms, scientific and technological activities in 2022 at International School continued to excel, with high spreading influence both domestically and internationally in various areas of operation. The research results meet the criteria of quality, effectively serving training activities as well as contributing to improving the reputation of VNU in general and of VNU-IS in particular. Specifically, the school successfully organized/co-organized 03 international seminars, 30 seminars with speakers who are experts, scholars and lecturers. In 2022, the first research camp program named
“Research Camp” with the theme “Increasing the publication of internationally published articles” was organized. By the end of the first research camp, 32 scientific articles were submitted and published in prestigious journals. Following the success, the second research camp program with the theme “Strengthening the capacity to publish textbooks / monographs of staff and lecturers of the International School” was organized, and the results obtained were more than 30 publication registration books.
In 2022, 3 experts and scientists of VNU-IS were honored in the world. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc – Program Director of Automation and Informatics – ranked 7455 and 94th in the world in the field of Engineering. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Khuong – expert, scholar of VNU International School, ranked 41,090 in the field of Economics – Finance. Dr. Chu Dinh Toi – Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, ranked 66,906 in the field of Biomedicine. According to the statistical results of the Center for Library and Digital Knowledge of VNU, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Khuong and Dr. Chu Dinh Toi are on the list of leading scientists for international publication in 2022.
International School currently has 17 research groups, in which the research group of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung is recognized as a powerful research group at the VNU level.
