11. Summary of the new findings in the thesis:

- Firstly, a theoretical new point: Systematizing and analyzing the theoretical issues, theories and other questions related to the development of young people’s values in the period of Industrialization, Modernization and International Integration. Besides the approaches of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought, the author also tries to apply new approaches of cultural studies and youth studies, particularly of the socialization theory.;

- Secondly, a methodological new point: based on interdisciplinary methods of modern area studies, the author tries to carry on multi-dimensional analysis of the value development process of the youth in Nam Dinh. In this way the dissertation has attained its goals and contribute to youth studies in Vietnam. - Thirdly, a documental contribution: The author has utilized a lot of authentic information and documents related to various aspects of Vietnamese youth, including the youth movement management and leadership in different fields. She conducted successfully some in-depth research projects relevant to the topic of the dissertation. Therefore, the dissertation has inherited a rich amount of documentation, ensuring the authenticity, science, and objectivity as a basis for the author’s research, analysis and interpretation in this works;

- Fourthly, concrete contributions concerning the value development of the Vietnamese youth: This is the most significant contribution of the dissertation. In her research, the author has analyzed, evaluated, interpreted and recommended appropriate policies for the development of ​​the young people’s values in the current period.

- Fifthly, scientific contributions: The work has new points in theory, methods, documentation, and research contents. So, it is expected to be a scientific work of highly appreciated theoretical and practical significance, a valuable reference for youth-related managers, researchers and human resource training in universities and research institutes if successfully defended and completely researched.

12. Practical applicability: Its research results can be applied into human resource training in universities, in teaching, in researching and developing Vietnamese youth’s values in the period of Industrialization, Modernization and International integration towards the interdisciplinary approach.

Further research directions: The thesis can also be studied in order to apply youth values in building new norms, standards and values among young people today in preventing social evils and negative tendencies in the ways of life of the Vietnamese youth today. 14.
