11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- The thesis analyzes the current situation of state management and electricity security according to following contents, including devising strategies and plans to ensure electricity security; developing policies to ensure electricity security; implementing policies and plans to ensure electricity security, in tandem with checking and supervising the electricity security process.

- The thesis draws up a set of fundamental criteria which aims to assess state management on electricity security in Vietnam.

- Based on the results of analysis and assessment of current status in state management on electricity security, the thesis proposes several solutions to enhance state management on national electricity security which involve accomplishing electricity security strategy, completing the law of electricity security; finalizing policies to ensure electricity security; fulfilling the check and supervision of electricity security; efficient use of electric energy and development of renewable energy in electricity production. Additionally, ensuring the supply of input materials for the power industry; improve the quality and diversification of power source investment projects. Apart from above feasible solutions, sharpening research competence as well as building a competitive electricity market; improve research capacity and application of science and technology in the electricity industry.

12. Practical applicability:

The research results of the thesis will be used in non-traditional security training in general and energy security in particular, which can serve as a reference in formulating and making policies on ensuring security. electrical energy security.

The research results can be used as a reference for the formulation of strategies, policies, planning, etc. for the electricity sector in Vietnam.
