On September 9th, 2021, VNU-IS Dean Le Trung Thanh hosted an online meeting with Professor Datuk Dr. Paul Chan, Vice Chancellor & President, HELP University, Malaysia; as well as other colleagues from HELP.
Attending the meeting were representatives of VNU-IS from the Office of Research & Partnership Development, Office of Academic Affairs and Department of Social Sciences, Economics & Management.

At the meeting, representatives of both sides engaged in open discussion for collaboration prospects of innovative training programs offered by HELP, including the APEL-Q program (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning – Qualification), which is a pathway training program for successful people who want to pursue graduate education without attending full-time study, based on their accumulated working experience; as well as the NUP (National Upskilling Program) which provides graduate courses and micro-credentials to prepare for employability, especially in the context of Covid-19 pandemic which causes many people to lose their job. HELP and VNU-IS also explored the possibility of organizing Master’s and PhD training programs for VNU-IS staff to further develop themselves in terms of academic and vital skills.
On top of that, the parties also discussed plans for seminar co-organization in 2022. There will be a joint seminar hosted by HELP and VNU-IS for their domestic partners in Malaysia and Vietnam to participate. Last but not least, both sides reviewed the recruitment status of the Dual degree program in Marketing for better coordination in the next academic year.

It is hoped that in 2021, VNU-IS and HELP will strengthen their cooperation and development which brings about fruitful result.
