Accordingly, the idea of establishing an institute/centre for Japanese language technology and culture under VNU Vietnam Japan University (VNU VJU) was put forward with the aim of training new human resources with high practical improvisation ability, meeting economic and social needs of both Vietnam and Japan. This idea was raised at the second meeting of VNU VJU’s Council, term 2021 - 2026 in February 2023. Since then, according to VNU President Le Quan, VNU has prepared full facility, learning and living conditions as well as training programs to soon establish the above-named institute/centre. VNU President Le Quan hoped that Mr. Takebe would promote cooperation between VNU VJU and Japanese businesses to enable the university to build practice-oriented training programs closely linked to the demands of the labour market.
VNU President Le Quan also believed that the establishment of an institute/centre for Japanese language technology and culture at VNU VJU would contribute to the exploiting of the multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral advantages of VNU to ensure human resources quality as well as attract interested businesses to invest and make research orders.
Mr. Takebe Tsutomu expressed his sincere thanks to VNU President for supporting and creating conditions to develop the idea of building a high-level professional training ecosystem at VNU VJU. He said that this unit would first focus on training information technology human resources and then, on training human resources for service industry, nursing, health care, etc. To complete these training programs, the learners will have to take relevant certification exams.
VNU President and the Special Advisor expressed their desire to bring practical education opportunities with a focus on practical learning and open training programs to a wide range of learners.
Next, VNU President Le Quan and Special Advisor Takebe Tsutomu attended the 4th meeting of VNU VJU’s Council, term 2021 - 2026.

Addressing Mr. Takebe and the Council members, VNU President, Chairman of VNU VJU’s Council Le Quan said that the University's pre-feasibility project had been completed and submitted to the Government of Vietnam for approval. After 10 years of operation, VNU VJU has made much progress in stabilizing personnel organization and developing a full range of training programs, including bachelor’s, master's and doctoral programs. Moreover, VNU VJU is a prestigious educational institution, a destination for many good officials and lecturers. VNU leaders always pay special attention to the development of VNU VJU and ensure best facilities and conditions for the University to operate stably in Hoa Lac.
At the meeting, the report on VNU VJU’s 2023 performance and its 2024 action plan were delivered to the members of VNU VJU’s Council, and the issue of the Council's personnel was discussed and approved. The Council’s members also discussed the future vision of VNU VJU on training global human resources with high performance skills in Asia at both undergraduate and graduate levels, based on the philosophy of "Liberal education" and "Sustainable development".
Also on this occasion, the members of VNU VJU’s Council attended the ceremony of receiving and planting the cherry trees donated by the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Kansai region in QGHN04 surroundings.
