11. Summary of the new findings of the dissertation
First: The dissertation is a systematic, in-depth study of the livelihood approach in community based tourism. The dissertation provides a specific livelihood framework including 5 assets: human capital, natural capital, economic capital, social capital, institutional capital, and rationally applies the theoretical basis for livelihood framework in order to contribute to community-based tourism development in Ba Vi.
Second: The dissertation has consolidated and clarified the main characteristics of Ba Vi as an area of historical - cultural space and sustainable tourism development space.
Third: The dissertation has identified and analyzed the current situation of community-based tourism development in Ba Vi according to 5 proposed livelihood assets, thereby addressing the different roles of these assets.
Final: The dissertation provides some suitable policy suggestions, contributing to the development of community-based tourism in the study area.
12. Applicability
- The dissertation can be considered as a pre-feasibility study, preparation for community-based tourism development planning to ensure livelihoods for local residents.
- The dissertation also provides further and deeper researching suggestions on community-based tourism development topics to ensure future sustainable livelihoods in potential localities.

- Comparative study among different localities; ethnic groups with difference in livelihood resources for community-based tourism development
- Comprehensive research on sustainable livelihood framework for tourism and livelihood resources relationship in consideration of its vulnerability, process, policy ... context in the livelihood framework for tourism.
- Study the community-based tourism development from sustainable livelihoods approach in conjuction with tourism demand angles to create appropriate suitable products.
