7. Official thesis title:

Study on geomorphology for Marine Spatial Planning in the Southwestern Viet Nam Sea

8. Major: Management of Resources and Environment       9. Code: 9850101. 01

10. Supervisors:            1. As. Prof. Vu Van Phai;

                                  2. PhD. Duong Quoc Hung

11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis

- To highlight the relevance of geological resources for socio-economics in general. The importance of geomorphological resources for socioeconomic development in general and for various other types of natural resources (such as ecosystems, minerals, and so on) has been demonstrated; they provide a scientific foundation for territorial planning in general and maritime spatial planning in particular;

- Clarifying geomorphological characteristics, resources, and geomorphological hazards for the coastal zone of the Southwestern Viet Nam Sea;

- Based on the geomorphological characteristics of the Southwestern Viet Nam Sea, spatial planning was used for various objectives.

12. Paratical applicability, if any:

Contributing scientific basis for marine spatial planning in the Southwestern Viet Nam Sea to sensibly manage resources and protect the environment.

13. Further research directions, if any:

Applying Marine Geomorphology for Marine Spatial Planning.
