VNU and Stony Brook University: Establishing a cooperative relationship
On November 14, 2016, VNU Vice President Nguyễn Hữu Đức welcomed and had a working session with Stony Brook University President Samuel Stanley.

At the meeting, VNU Vice President Nguyễn Hữu Đức and President Samuel Stanley discussed a plan for collaboration between Stony Brook University and VNU University of Engineering and Technology in setting up a new faculty/department as well as support for VNU School of Medicine and Pharmacy in training oral and maxillofacial surgeons.

Talking with President Samuel Stanley, VNU Vice President Nguyễn Hữu Đức proposed Stony Brook University experts and lecturers to deliver short-term courses as well as co-design, transfer and implement a number of jointly conferred degree training programs.

Stony Brook University President Samuel Stanley expected the two sides to set up cooperative activities in training, research to promote the two Vietnamese and American leading universities’ strengths.

Established in 1957 as a public university, Stony Brook University is listed among the 62 leading research institutions in the US and is one of the 10 US universities renowned with effective linkage between training and research.
