VNU President expressed his wish to establish cooperative relationships with leading corporations and enterprises from Vietnam and worldwide, including Hyundai Motor Group in general and Hyundai Motor Company in particular, to develop high quality human resources, especially in engineering technology; and to establish joint research centres with enterprises and engineering technology training and research centres in Hoa Lac.
VNU President Le Quan believed that the cooperation agreement signing would contribute to improving the quality of engineering technology training and research at VNU, thereby helping Vietnam meet the increasing demand for high quality human resources for the automobile and related industries and serving the economic, scientific and technological development of the two countries.
Addressing the signing ceremony, HMC Business unit Chief Representative Gi Baek Lee said that the relationship between the two sides started with the Memorandum of Cooperation signed with VNU University of Languages and International Studies (VNU ULIS) in 2020 on volunteer education activities under the Hyundai-Jump School Program.
“Over the past four years, HMC has supported about 200 VNU students, mainly from VNU ULIS, to support Vietnam’s talent development. This is one of the typical examples of cooperation between Hyundai Motor Group and VNU for the future social development of Vietnam. With the signing of the memorandum of understanding today, we can together continue to better carry out other cooperation projects in broader fields”, he added.
Mr. Gi Baek Lee affirmed that the establishing of a cooperative relationship with VNU was an opportunity for Hyundai Motor Company to contribute to South Korea and Vietnam societies, creating a new mode of exchanges and increasingly closer cooperation between Vietnamese and South Korean private sectors.
The signing of the agreement is the basis for VNU and Hyundai Motor Company to carry out effective coordination and cooperation activities in the coming time. Under the new agreement, the two sides will establish a VNU-HMC cooperation office located in Hoa Lac to coordinate joint activities, including internships of VNU’s top talents at Hyundai Motor Group headquarters; the delivery of lectures by famous international scholars; and the promoting of mutually beneficial partnerships through joint research projects.
