VNU and Lomonosov Moscow State University signed an MoU on science and education cooperation
On May 14, 2013,at the Palace of Russian Prime Minister, VNU President Phùng Xuân Nhạ and Lomonosov Moscow State University (MGU) Rector Viktor A. Sadovnichy signed an MoU on science and education cooperation between the two universities under the witness of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and the Governmental delegations of both countries.

This MOU aims to enhance the cooperation in research and scientific exchange between VNU and MGU.
The two universities will promote cooperation in the following aspects: exchange of staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students; joint research in the fields of mutual interest; improving staff quality; exchange of published works and current research documents; sharing the experiences and advanced teaching methodology and technology; co-organizing international conferences/workshops; conducting joint research projects and programs, etc.
Besides, the two Prime Ministers also witnessed the signing of some other documents, namely: Cooperation plan between Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Federal Agency on Tourism of Russia (2013-2015); Cooperation plan between Ministry of Justice of Vietnam and Ministry of Justice of Russia (2013-2014); Credit contract between Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade and the International Investment Bank; Cooperation agreement between Vietnam Railway Corporation, An Vien Joint Stock Company and Russian Railway Company; and a number of cooperation agreements in the field of oil and gas between Petro Vietnam and Russian partners.
Earlier, in the afternoon of May 13, VNU delegation led by VNU President Phùng Xuân Nhạ and Minister of Education and Training Phạm Ngũ Luận paid a working visit to MGU.
