The newly-appointed VNU Vice President Phạm Bảo Sơn was born in Quang Minh commune, Gia Lộc district, Hải Dương province in 1977. He received his BS of Information Technology (Computer Science) in 2001; PhD in Information Technology (Computer Science and Engineering) from the University of New South Wales, Australia in 2006. In 2012, he was awarded the title of Associate professor and certificate in advanced Political Studies.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phạm Bảo Sơn used to hold such positions as Deputy Head of Human-Machine Interaction Target Laboratory; Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Engineering and Technology; Deputy Director of the Information Technology Institute ...; VNU’s Party Committee member, Secretary of VNU UET Party Committee, Vice Rector of VNU University of Engineering and Technology.
Vice President Phạm Bảo Sơn received the 2007 Golden Globe Award in Information Technology, Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training (2014, 2012, 2011) and Certificate of Merit from VNU President (2017, 2012).
